Honestly, the last week of the month had me asking, "Why do I do this to myself???"
I do it because it frees up dollars in our budget to put toward paying off debt faster, it frees up dollars to pay for experiences, like gymnastics, for our girls. Plus is it had eliminate so much food waste in our household, our family eats a healthier diet, and I've gotten way more creative in the kitchen—one unexpected effect of my $50 grocery budget is that I enjoy cooking and being in the kitchen now.
Since I'm completely out of snacks and low on pretty much every single one of my pantry staples, I plan on using March as a restocking month. This happens once or twice a year. I'll budget some extra grocery money, make some bulk purchases, and maybe put in a co-op order. Then I'll be all set to start sticking to $50 per week again.
